    Need advice, shipping timeframes

    Tough times these days.

So I purchased a stripped lower and matched complete upper from a (somewhat) well known SoCal manufacturer. I already own their stuff and am satisfied with the quality. At time of purchase and even currently on their product webpage, Vendor X (to be named) had no warning of shipping delays, out of stock, build to order, or backorder.

Typical internet purchase complete and I sat back and waited.

After a few weeks I emailed them. Was told, current build time was 6 - 8 weeks. At that time I told them I was moving out of SoCal at end of October, so need to know if they can deliver.

After six weeks, I emailed them again. Was told me they are running 8 - 12 weeks to ship.

After eight weeks, I emailed them again. Was told they are running 12 - 16 weeks but will "make sure" to get my parts shipped by 12 week timeframe.

Week 13 now. Last update was the parts were "in paint." Fail on my part, shoulda went with black. They did offer a refund at that point but I thought maybe they would ship soon. Fail again.

Now waiting for their latest update. Maybe I should drive down there and see wtf is going on.

I could use a vendor feedback link at this point.

    Rant over, for now.

Cancel the order, put them on blast, or just shuddup and wait for them to ship?

Depends, when do you move? How bad do you want the product? Do you want to stick it to them?

Sounds like your goods are almost done and they'll ship soon. You have already been patient through them jerking you around for 13 weeks, why not wait another 13 weeks?

              Ask for a discount.

Ask for some free merch so you can advertise a **** company for free.

Welp, J-tac emailed me to confirm shipping address and said they are lasering / finish working the parts.

So ... hopefully it all works out before end of month.

OP, your first post and five subsequent posts on Calguns are esentially a vendor rant? Jeeze.

Perhaps Facebook is a better platform for your rant. There you can deliver some serious

Yeah, thanks. I have been here for over 7 years. Met some great people and gotten really good advice too, which is what the intent was with my first post.

I'll do better next time LOL
