Ground squirrel hunting Central Valley

Looking for a place to take our wives to take out some ground squirrels in preparation for Antelope hunt in Wyoming. We are in Modesto area but willing to travel a couple of hours.

good luck. I was raised on a ranch shooting squirrels but now do not have a place to do so.
Hard to get people to let you hunt/shoot on their property due to liability and the fact that so many people destroy stuff even when they think they did not.

What is special about a ground squirrel, put some of those self sealing small rolling targets out there. At 100 it will seem like 400, they will roll and a new position is required. For movement, you can shoot it to get the "ball rolling" and then let them take the shot.

She can shoot just fine, it’s the killing a furry animal that might be an issue. She has whacked a few gophers with a shovel that were in her flowers with no trouble at all but worried about taking aim at an Antelope
