    Gun Safe Advice

The time has come for me to purchase a Gun Safe of my own, I've been browsing several gunshops / hunting stores / retail outlets etc and I still Don't have any idea what to get.
I want something that can hold at least 5-10 longguns and would be within a $300-500 price range. Is this something that is best to buy from a retail store? Used? Online? The bigger the better, the cheaper the better, and any high-tech frills are awesome too (electronic locks etc).
Are their any sales going on at any mainsteam retail stores?

    Thanks for your help.

I am in the same boat. I think I have decided on this one.http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...61&prDeTab=2#A. For the size and price I really like it. . I search safes on here and it seems to have gotten a good review.

This should probably be posted in the safes forum.

        safe

        pewpewguns,
Maybe Home depo still has safes in that price range.
Best advice is to buy a safe two times as big as you think you need.
        Safes full up fast.

          Pew,
Go down to El Cajon Gun Exchange and talk to Ron - the owner. He will educate you to the point that you will be able to make a good decision. And no, he won't pressure you to buy any safe, or even buy from him.
I spent an hour and a half with him yesterday and it was well spent.
They have a video they produced about safes, and they have safes with the doors exposed - which is one thing dealers DONT want you to see.
Do youself a favor, you wont regret it.
