      1) No legit training outfit is going to let a shoulder holster fly. You have to sweep yourself and others to draw.

1a) that goes for competitive shooting as well.

1b) as well as gun ranges

1c) I don't see a legitimate place one could practice live fire with a shoulder holster outside of private property or BLM land out by yourself.

      2) The FBI study on holster placement put the best location right at the hip where everyone in the world has it.

Ignore the naysayers OP. Here's a lead:

Thanks for the input. Was gonna be purely a range / fun thing but the sweeping is a great point.

            American-made hip holster it is.

I had two shoulder holsters, both gave me neck / shoulder pain. Now I have none. IWB for me.

Avoid anything from wild guns leather in Texas, they were formerly Lawmans Leather in Las Vegas until shut down by authorities in Vegas. Total scam artists

Galco has a lot of options for reasonable prices. I used to wear a shoulder holster a lot, as it was better for transitioning from sitting in a chair to standing (sitting on a chair with a gun on your hip or anywhere else sucks), and the gun didn't keep wanting to pull my pants down.

Shoulder holsters have their uses, but the range isn't one of them. Drawing from them sucks and is slow. Putting the gun back in the holster isn't easy, either. But I wore a Galco for a few years, and liked it. It held up well, and did its job.

Carry my all stainless revolver owb. Clip on belt (not clamp on pants) suspenders under no tuck shirt eliminates need to constantly adjust pants.
                      No need for a jacket

Tough crowd. I've been thinking of getting a nice shoulder holster too for long drives especially. I visit my folks in SD often (2+ hr drive) and my large frame gluck pinches into my fat if I'm seated in a car too long!

Not a shoulder holster, but I like my Denali chest holster. For walking, hiking, climbing, driving, riding the quad, yard work, etc. it is the most comfortable holster I have used.

The S&W 29 is closely related to the S&W 8-shot .357 that I carry in the Denali almost every time I got out on foot.
What about the 19th? Can the Commerce Clause be used to make it illegal for voting women to buy shoes from another state?

Only reason for shoulder holster / cross draw holster is for vehicle driver in an Executive protection detail.
