FFL 03 + COE billing info

Hello, apologies if this an incorrect place to put it, but I am a holder of an FFL-03 and COE. When purchasing ammo online after being approved of my credentials, is that exclusively for my own billing information? In other words, hypothetically, I take my mom's credit card* and I purchase ammo under her name on the billing, but send it to my address with my name (the same on my 03). Is there any concerns I may have in regards to this?

    Thanks

Most vendor will require the billing info to match the COE and FFL03 address, at least that's been my experience.

Put on your big boy pants and get your own credit card? You can also get a prepaid credit card if qualifying is an issue.

You just admitted on a public forum that your mom is giving you money to buy ammunition. A public forum that is read by law enforcement. You also gave away other details about yourself, probably enough to identify who you are. Definitely enough if law enforcement makes a little effort.

So who is buying the ammunition? Is this an illegal transfer of ammunition? Are you using your FFL03 to illegally deal in ammunition? I have no idea, but you are really inviting people to ask such questions. If my kid posted something like this on a forum, I would have serious words with them, because it endangers my professional license and my personal wellbeing.

          Signed: Another mom.

          EDIT: See below.

What foundation do you have to even ask the question if he is dealing ammunition without a license? Because his mommy pays his bills? Get over yourself. He didn't say he was selling the ammo to his mom or anyone else. He is a COE FFL03. He can buy ammunition and ship it to his home. If someone gives him or loans him the money for it, that is of no consequence UNLESS the money is given/loaned with the intent to distribute the ammo to the giver/lender of which there is no evidence here.

ML has the standard California dose of paranoia. But that paranoia has no business being dumped on anyone else.

I've purchased guns, ammo, and reloading items with a card that has a billing address different than the ship-to address.

Sorry, YOU have a problem understanding the law. He can legally buy all the ammunition he wants to and then simply GIVE it to his mother without any paperwork or DROS. Likewise, his mother can legally buy all the ammo she can afford and simply give it to her child. So, what's the problem with his mother paying for ammunition being shipped to him? Please explain why you think anything he has posted could be construed as "illegal" and, please cite the exact laws that you think could apply.

Correct. Actually, PC 30312(b)(10) dictates that he may give or sell it to immediate family as defined in the Penal Code 16720.

MountainLion is apparently unaware of this statute and exception to the transfer requirements.

I was indeed unaware of that subsection, which explicitly allows the OP to share ammo with his mom. Which means that there is nothing illegal to see here, move along. Sorry about that, and apologies to the OP.
