A bud is about to inherit a CETME semi auto that is out of state. I told him the only way to bring it in was minus receiver (or torch cut receiver) and build a semi auto cal legal out of it. Do you guys know any good sites building these?. I did a search and did not find anything like the FAL guys have. Thanks for the help in advance. DK

Sell it.
Cetme Parts Kits are like less than $150 and he could probably get $350 for it out of state. Sell it and he can get the parts kit and still have money left to buy the PTR/Century receiver.quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. - Lucius Annaeus

+1, If your buddy wants a HK91 clone he should sell the Cetme and take the $$ and upgrade to a PTR91.Originally posted by NeoWeirdSell it.

Alot of those Cetmes were built by Centry and didnt work that great anyhow.
I think the basic PTR is around $1000 so you might be able to get $400 for your Cetme and with another $600 you will have one of the best HK clones built to this day.sigpic

There is also the option of building it yourself.
PTR-91 receiver runs around $250-300. G3A3 parts kits are about $400 now, or you can buy the parts direct from Vector, JLD, etc. You can save a couple C notes by building it yourself.quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. - Lucius Annaeus

As the list that neo posted in this thread states unless its a CETME Sporter it should be legal.
Its not listed and it would be just as legal as a HK41.
Was it already determined that its not a CETME Sporter?
Weren't there more models than just the CETME Sporter?
