Why only modes for CZ 95 series and not 97?

I do not like shooting a CZ 75 series 9mm. Hate the trigger (which is probably why there are SO many places to get trigger kits/jobs from), the feel of the firearm in my hands and I'm a bad shot with the gun. All in all, it's a no go for me.

The 97 series, however, in 45ACP is, for whatever reason, just the opposite for me. I don't dislike (no do I love) the heavy trigger. Gun feels right in my hand and I'm reasonably accurate (especially compared to the 75) with it.

So why in the world are there no trigger kits or similar mods for the 97 that there are available for the 75? Similar-ish parts/design from what I can tell. Just a dearth of options when searching (maybe my crappy google-fu skills). A fraction of options from Cajun for the 97...tons for the 75, especially the spring tuning kits.

My goal is the lighten up the rather heavy trigger for the 97. Mcarbo has what appears to be a cool "drop in" spring kit for the CZ 75...doesn't seem to be the same available for the 97 (that I can find). Not sending off the firearm for a multi-hundred $$ tune/trigger job if there is a Mcarbo-like kit out there in the wild.

CGW CZ97Enhanced has been around for a while... You can ask them if they can sell you individual components you need without paying for entire package

Thanks for the info, but the last line in my original post was "Not sending off the firearm for a multi-hundred $$ tune/trigger job if there is a Mcarbo-like kit out there in the wild."

According to CGW's site, the “E” Conversion for CZ 97 B/BD is:
      • $655 (with a 10 week turnaround time)
      • $40 return shipping
      • $40 my estimate to ship 97 to CGW

That's $735 to get what Mcarbo offers for $30 with their CZ 75 Trigger Spring Kit and some sweat equity.

Spending $735 for a trigger job on a ~$700 gun is a no go for me.

My quest is to find the ~$30 or so "Trigger Spring Kit" type offering for a CZ 97...which doesn't seem to exist.

I did check with CGW and they sell their "Pro Package"...at 10x the Mcarbo kit cost....so spending over $300 for $30 with of parts is a no go in my book as well.

FWIW, CGW pro kits comes with reduced power springs, new sear, hammer, etc....Thus, it is considerably more expensive.

Did you call them like n8vermind suggested to see if they would sell you individual parts rather than the whole kit. If they will, that might be your cheapest option.
That 700 or so is not the equivalent of the kit, you're paying for quality gunsmiths to work on your gun, and that's always going to cost more. Maybe there is a local gunsmith that can work on your gun for cheaper?

97 is not that popular because it is not a 9mm. However, its clones are heavily modified and upgraded for USPSA. Look up Tanfoglio Stainless Elite in 40/45. Gunsmiths who work on Tanfoglios often will tune up a 97 too.

              OP's post ^

Say that to the zombies when their eating your guts and your $30 dollar trigger springs go to chet and break causing your'e CZ 97 to become disabled and not fire, because you wanted to save some dollars.

You bought a 6 to 700 dollar pistol and you's want to put $30 dollars into it..

I'm sure the zombies will thank you for providing them with fresh meat..

Maybe his example is bad, but the question is what are you going to be using the gun for is an important one. If there is a chance it's for self defense, what's the upgrade worth when your life is on the line.
Some people while not made of money, will spend significant money to get a gun the way they like it.
If you think about people who buy a pistol, get a slide milled and an rmr, or get night sights. Or people who buy a rifle, spend about the same amount on a scope and another $100 or $200 on a mount or rings.

Or maybe I'll spend what needs to be spent on a tool that can save my life in a deadly encounter..

Getting shot at makes things very clear when you decide to save $30 dollars over that $300 piece of mind.

But you do you, Good luck.

I leave my HD guns in factory configuration.

My CGW enhanced CZ is a range toy. while it is reliable, I would rather trust my life to a firearm in original configuration that the manufacturer had spend years testing to make it is functional at all times..

I thought it was because the 75 series is a more popular line than the 97
Now my mind is filled with rubber tires, and forest fires
                          And whether I'm a liar,
And lots of other situations where I don't know what to do,
At which time God screams to me "There's nothing left for me to tell you."
