there's several 50 bmg shooters on calguns, maybe a dedicated sub forum would be useful?

in for more info, I don't get out with my barrett near as much as I'd like to

for several years, my friend Richard Ryan rated rr and full mag on utoob made videos of my barrett blowing up verything from iphones to pumpkins that got millions of views.. now he's back east, it mostly just sits in the safe

A cartridge is not a platform.
A platform is a design that usually accepts multiple different cartridges.

Like for example, the Barret M82A1 can be had in either 50BMG or 416 Barrett.
The Barrett M82A1 is therefore a platform.
