Is it LEGAL to order 2 rifles online...

One is for for a friend who doesnt have internet access and one is for me.

I was wondering if I could order both rifles one of which is for him on my credit card (he will pay me back) and then when the rifles arrive at the in state FFL we just both show up with our respective IDs and DROS the rifles seperately. Is good to go 100% LEGAL?

I don't see anything illegal about it. He does his own DROS. It doesn't matter who pays for it.

I am sure what is in your mind is "is it a straw purchase?" No it is not. As long as he is doing the paper work, you are fine. If you did the paper work, and then he got the rifle... you would be breaking the law.

The only thing that sounds illegal is that you're only ordering two...

just make sure paperwork/shipment consignee for the other is your friend.
that would create less hassle when doing the DROS - origin/order wise.
