Should I wait to sell a firearm after recently purchasing it?

Recently picked up a firearm, but something came up and need to sell it. Will I get flagged if I sell it right away, or does it not matter?

Only if you sell more than the limit. You can walk out of ffl and walk back in and sell.

        Get flagged for what?

I know people who sold a weapon while they were in their waiting period and the FFL had possession.

I’m not going to look up the actual wording of the law, but it does make mention that when determining if someone is selling to enhance livelihood (or however they word it) the amount of time the firearm was owned is considered.

With that said, I highly doubt you’d get flagged for a one time sale. I know I’ve sold a few after recently purchasing for one reason or another; and haven’t had any issues.

            Is it off roster?

There is a lot of hype about the limit per year; see it even on posts people don't want to sell past the limit per year but aside from a few police officers that were doing crazy amount of transactions per year nobody can tell me someone who has been charged with a violation.

I have personally down 30 transactions in the last year and know people that have sold 70-80 guns and nothing. A couple of these people have lawyers that are standing by as they want to fight a case where the government says you can't sell so many guns a year. As long as you legally purchase; and do all the rules correctly no government should be able to you that you can't sell a gun or two to pay a bill than get extra money in and re-purchase a few new guns.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Another strike for Benji. I am personally aware of two non-cop individuals who faced charges for PC 25600/16730 neither of whom sold 80 guns in a year (or anywhere close to that). There are undoubtedly numerous others throughout the state.

They pled to other charges and the 26500 charges were dismissed as part of the pleas.

What lawyers do your acquaintances have "standing by" to sue the .gov? Sounds like a lot of bluster.

What were the "other charges" they pled to? Cause if they were caught up in some illegal activity, it's not unheard of for prosecutors to throw everything but the kitchen sink at victims to get a plea and avoid actually having to prove their case. That the individuals you know pled to charges demonstrates that they were in all likelihood not rounded up for their legal sales.

Generally speaking, if the law doesn't say you can't do it, you can do it.
