    AR9 build question

Hey everyone. I have a question as to whether i can build an ar9 pistol out of a lower that i got from a leo in a ppt. The lower was drosed as a semi-auto/multi cal. Would it be fine/legal for me to buy an ar-15 9mm conversion adapter and build an ar9 pistol? Have any of you done this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Check the paperwork that it says semi auto PISTOL. Then you'd have to still put some kind of mag lock solution on it. You'll also know by the price, I paid $500 for my lower 2 years ago. A standard lower shouldn't cost more than $150 no matter how gucci it is...

It’s a new frontier lower btw. I’m aware of the mag lock situation just didn’t want to order parts or try and build some illegal. Although after reading your posts and looking at the drose I think I’m good? Correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks again for the input.
That changes things. In your original post you weren’t clear on that I should have realized when you said drosed as multi cal I should have caught that and asked if it said long gun or handgun. It looks like you are good.

Reminder that in order to be CA legal, the semi-auto pistol needs to be made so that it has a fixed 10 or less round magazine that can not be removed without disassembling the firearm's action or that is permanently attached (welded/epoxied/riveted) in the firearm's magazine well.
^This is because the semi-auto pistol accepts magazines outside of the pistol's grip. [PC 30515(a)(4)(D)]
