LOL, I know how you feel. I've given up doing the regular Wal-Mart stopbys.

It just wastes gas, calling WM takes forever to get through as well.

It's amazing how much cash frees up though. It's like finding extra cash after quitting smoking.

Just get in line for some Georgia arms canned heat. I buy 1k of each caliber I shoot, 9mm, 357sig, 38spl, .40, 357 magnum. Its alot to invest all at once, but will last along time. Plus I have a rule that until I am down to 100 rounds of all calibers, I can't order more. That leaves me 500 rounds to shoot while I wait for my next order.

i just got back from texas just 2 days ago and all of the Academy stores (like our sports authorities) were fully stocked with all kinds of ammo, mostly monarch.

but yes the one wal mart i went to looked kinda bare.

you need to know the times, the 2 walmarts around here stock the ammo shelves between 2 and 5 in the morning, if you get in a little early you can even tear through the boxes and find the ammo yourself, found 1K rounds of 40 last time we rummaged...

There is a Big5 within a very short distance of my house. They restock on Friday's. The problem is they open at 10am. I'm at work at 10am!!


Lucky for me is that I don't think the store is 'too' popular because I've still been able to find some common calibers like .45acp and 9mm after the day is over when I stop by after work.

Now finding some of those cheap bulk packs of .22LR.....ha! Haven't seen it yet.

That's very true. Seems like everything is marked up at least 50% higher than last year.

The only ammo I can't find right now is .45 though, and that's bumming me out big time.

Maybe it's just the city you live in, I can find ammo...of course it's all for my Glock Foh-tays.
