Thinking about buying another handgun, but which one?

I sold an Italian-made 92FS last year and regret parting ways with it. I do have an M9A1 that I like, and have always been a Beretta fan, especially after dropping in an LTT Trigger Job in a bag.

I recently picked up a second Glock 17 because I liked the first one so much. Kind of went along the idea of, "One is none, and two is one." So based off that I'm sort of leaning toward getting another 92FS or M9 to go with the M9A1. I have a Vertec slide, a new Beretta oversized mag release and a Beretta decocker kit just sitting in my spare parts box along with some spare LTT grips.

The Glocks are my guns I use for classes, but have used the Berettas in class. Berettas are also fun at the range, and the XD9 I have is a loaner/beater that I let friends use when they come to a class with me for their first time. I used to have a Springfield 1911 Loaded Target model in 9mm that was nice, but parted ways with it. Just wasn't into the target sights, they snagged on everything when it was in a holster, and although it was a beautiful gun ti didn't rock my world. If I ever decide to get a 1911 again it would be in .45ACP, but the thing is I don't have any .45ACP ammo, but I do have quite a bit of 9mm which is making me leaning toward another 9mm.

I'm at the point where I'm no longer into selling any of the firearms I have, only acquiring.

Any reasons I should NOT buy another 92FS/M9? I can't carry concealed (or carry at all) where I live (Alameda County) so getting something for that purpose isn't really practical at this time either.

    Kind of a weird question/scenario.

If you have the cash and your motto is “one is none, two is one”, then of course there is absolutely no reason not to buy another beretta.

The only reason I could think of to not buy another beretta is to venture out and get something different, but if you have no interest then get another beretta.

Just not really sure what els is out there that I would want. I like to keep things fairly simple. Stick with one caliber for now, stick with the two platforms I'm used to, etc.

Also have a lot of Beretta mags.

Only two brands of handguns I would ever consider. Dan Wesson and CZ Shadow or equivalent. Both from CZ. Consider the Dan Wesson 10mm. A real show (bad guy) stopper.

No interest in 10mm at the moment as I own quite a bit of 9mm and no 10mm.

Sounds like you're getting another Beretta.

It's been fascinating to watch the addiction slowly take hold of you since you came here with your first (Beretta 92??) handgun a year and a half ago...

                        Cz > Beretta

I mainly stick with metal guns these days, they seem to retain their value better
