For firearms, are there owner gatherings to meet fellow shooters. Purpose would be sharing the passion, where you go shooting, ur firearm setup, training, meeting shooting friends. It could take place on a private land, business, or public range.

Kind of like a cars and coffee for car enthusiasts.

In Los Angeles one member negotiated a special discounted rate for a group to shoot mid week on a slow day.

There are also a few Friends of the NRA groups around the state.

I don’t meet with anybody that I don’t know, let alone showing a bunch of strainers what guns I have. About the only meeting I have is here in calguns via the Internet. I also don’t want anybody to know my business nor who I am. I’m too private.

I agree with you here seen too many idiots around to trust some of them with what guns I have or shooting around me. Even some of the retired police officers I know are idiots with guns. One guy made me want to wear a bullet proof vest when he used to qualify with us.
