    Price of ammo these days?

Its been years since I've bought ammo. Might be moving. People have asked if I'd sell if I don't want to move it. Obviously I'd do the proper background check deals at an ffl....

Whats the going rate of ammo these days?
    9, 40 45 556 and 22?

Is it still hard to come by?

If you're expecting to sell it here and buy it after you move, that will not happen.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Try the private ammo sales sub forum... https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...play.php?f=169

Ah I overlooked that sub forum my apologies and yes thats what I fear having spent almost 10 years stock piling.

The issue of cost of a move and the fact I can't lift anything for a few more weeks from a torn retina surgery is all kinds of a clusterduck for a home sale and cross country move.

It's still crazy anywhere you go. I'm just not shooting until this whole thing boils over.

Yeah I've shot once in maybe 2 years felt bad the entire time I was doing it lol. Been hoarding it went to try and shove a 50 cal and 30 cal can into a home depot box to smuggle into a storage unit but I'd have like 8 boxes and its way over the gallon milk jug weight limit due to my busted *** eye the wifes like you might as well help pay for moving with it.

I've reduced my range trips to one day a month until it kinda returns back to normal

All ammo is hard to come by but it's recovering you missed the boat on top dollar pricing. You can only legally sell 500 rounds a month in CA so probably a no go for you anyhow.

I think a violation is a misdemeanor but I'm not sure.

Yes still hard to come by.
As far as cost anywhere from 55 cents to a dollar is about average for regular target/shooting grade ammo. More of its special use ammo. Hunting, self defense type.

There still seems to be a shortage and rationing when available. I started reloading again.

Are you moving out of state or somewhere close? Do you have any friends willing to help? I have a pickup. My fee is nominal.

I'm not sure where you are from, but in Southern California pricing is roughly as follows:

Store/Private Party (cpr = cent per round):
                      9: .50/.60 cpr
                      .40 .60/.55 cpr
                      .45 .75/.65 cpr
                      .223/556: $1/.80 cpr
                      .22: ??/.09 cpr

This is based solely off my experience from going to brick & mortar stores a few times a week and purchasing privately from forum members.

However, the main issue you are going to encounter is that you are only allowed to sell 500 rounds per MONTH. That's the main bottleneck for my clients who have moved out of state.

Didn’t catch where you’re moving to op. But I saw some .223 at a NE Ace hardware yesterday for $1 a round. Half of their stock was wolf steel case. Limit to four boxes.

                        Not good.

As I mentioned in AA and Deal's, BP in LV is totally stuffed with Win/Herters 223/556 in all size boxes. The Win at 70 cpr plus tax is ridiculous, but ......... Herter's is slightly cheaper.

Thanks for the offer and that really sucks about the 500 rounds...I wonder why they don't have the option to sell it all to an ffl to sling it consignment.

Moving the family to San Antonio where I've noticed about a half dozen stores and shooting ranges in the new neighborhood. The transition from one home sale to waiting on another is just making the move rough. I've amassed probably 10k rounds of centerfire and even more 22 over the last 10 years. And no pods companies in sight
