Cheapest range in the Bay Area?

Does anyone know which range charges the least amount of money (say for 1-2 hours) in the Bay Area? They also have to be OLL/AK friendly.

And are there any places to shoot that are free?

the best deals are at the outdoor ranges. Not sure what the cheapest is. Maybe we should list known charges.

Jackson Arms: Pistol Lane: $14.00/Hour - Addtional Shooter $7.00
    Rifle Lane: $16.00/Hour - Additonal Shooter $8.00
    Coyote Point range: $10 7-10pm
Los Altos range: $15 per person all day

found this cool interactive map on another site... http://www.dragunov.net/bay_area_ranges.htm#metcalf

Metcalf is $12 per shooter for the standard (50yard and 100yard). I think 200yard is $14 but requires reservations?
CalGuns Network (CGN) is different from CalGuns Foundation (CGF). Both need our support. I have gold name because I support CGN; plus, I send $10 every two weeks to CGF automatically via online BillPay as described here.

Join Diablo Rod and Gun Club, ($25 a year, $20 for NRA members) and shoot at USI in Concord for $7 a day instead of the $14 for nonmembers. You don't have to shoot vary often to make up the membershp cost.

They're also free if you have a receipt for any firearm dated within a year. I don't think I've ever paid to shoot there.

Yes, bring in a receipt for a gun to Chabot and shoot for free. I've done this many times, it's great.

Also, it can be from up to 2 years old I think.

+1. If you are a member with Diablo Rod & Gun Club, its $7 for the range fee's, this includes the pistol range and rifle range. Also members get access to the other parts of the facility that has a 200yd range. If you shoot more than 4-6 times a year, the membership pays for itself. Not to mention DRGC is affiliates with the CMP if you ever want to buy an M1 or other older military rifles.

Circle S out west of Petaluma is $10 a day for the entire range (25, 50, 100, 200, and 300 yards). I've been out there many many times and never seen anyone bothered for having an AR or AK.

A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his or her life."

Yeah, but don't you have to go to their monthly meetings or some such thing.

San Leandro Rifle and Pistol is $13 flat rate all day indoor, outdoor or rifle and $9 for everyone over 60. Just be advised no FMJ on the rifle range (doesnt really bother me) and they just started a no WOLF ammo on the rifle range even SP and HP (that irks me quite a bit). OLL and pre-ban friendly.
