Bakersfield gunshop burglarized?

This morning I flew out of Bakersfield and by the time I got to the Denver airport I had two text messages saying that someone drove a stolen truck through the front window of Ole Boy Outdoors in Bakersfield and stole some handguns.

I searched the Bakersfield News (on the internet) and I searched on here for "Bakersfield", "Ole Boys Outdoors", "Burglary", "break in" and couldn't find anything either.

Does anyone have the story?

All I know so far is that they backed what appeared to be a stolen white pickup into the store & took 10 handguns, left that truck on Allen Rd and fled in a tan colored truck. I live about 3 minutes away and I'm a little shocked as I frequent that shopping center all the time. I hope they catch those A-holes.

man that sux.......... guess that guy should have stayed at the cement plant. That place had better security.

Although I will say that I did try getting a gun through him and in turn he gave me like a 20 minute speech on how a certain dealer who wouldn't sell products to him are @#$@.

Don't have nothing against him but karma is a #@$%

Needless to say I went through someone else who didn't have any problems with the same vendor nor did that same vendor have any problems selling to him and getting the guns to me.

As for the guys getting caught I doubt it. Those guns are more then likely making there way down Mexico way.

Damn that sucks! I was actually going to stop by there to buy some stuff for my shotgun today after work. I'll probably catch it later tonight on the 10 or 11 o'clock news.

That is all anyone talked about in the store yesterday. We have restarted negotiations on the building next store again and even though it is a decent butler style building, I still want concrete barriers out front. There is no such thing as security over kill.

For us it just helps being in Taft. TPD can be anywhere in Taft in 2 minutes and they would love to light up some gun burglars.

I think BPD only has 4 cars on duy at about 5 AM.

Sorry to hear about this. Good luck with the BPD, I had a car broken into and stuff stolen and the cops were worthless!
They even had the name and address of the guy trying to cash one of my stolen checks, and were still unable to find him.
They told me everytime they called, he wasnt home??????

LOL yeah the BPD is pretty thin at the weee ours of the morning!

Where I live there are always 2-5 Sherrifs patrol cars parked in front of the 7-11 or across the street in the church parking lot sleeping under the trees. I mean yeah it sux that there are sooo many of them less then 30 seconds away. But then again we have 0 problems with crime! I just hope that if I do call 911 that they won't be too mad for waking them out of their nap!

Oh and you can never have enough security! Concrete barriers, barred windows, steel doors, etc. sure its more money but if you never get robbed then its money well spent!

Ya know something funny is I had my house burglarized years ago when I lived in a not so reputable part of town. The Sherrif shows up and has a crime scene investigator show up like 10 minutes later. The crime scene investigator found prints that didn't match me or my wife's on several pieces of glass etc. I was sooo HAPPY cuz I thought that they could follow the prints and get the guys responsible. Then what they told me shocked the hell out of me. They said that they will take the prints down and run them once they get around to doing the yearly fingerprint check in a few months. They also told me don't get your hopes up we hardly ever find anyone that way. They also said they are not going to look any further into it because they only have 3 crime scene investigators for the whole county and that there resources are being used for RAPES AND MURDERS.

So basically that told me that they won't do a damn thing unless someone was raped or murdered!

So my house being broken into and all my valuables taken wasn't worth more then a couple of cops showing up and lifting some prints and telling me that they aren't going to pursue it because they don't have enough "resources"

If thats the excuse they are giving everyone then THANK GOD that there aren't more criminals who know that

What gun were you trying to get that we dont deal with? And who did you talk to?
