How to Safely Dispose This Ammo

UPS must have dropped the package hard, the bullet is pushed in quite far into the case. I don't have bullet puller, how to dispose safely this round? Thanks!

You don't really need a commercial "bullet puller". If concerned about an "over pressure" incident due to deeply seated bullet. Do this;

Remove the barrel from the firearm. Place the round in the chamber. Bump the muzzle, in downward motion. Against a block of wood. With round in chamber. You have turned your barrel into an "inertia puller".

When the bullet moves forward out of the case, to visually match other rounds in same box.

Reassemble your pistol and fire it.

Couple pliers and pull it apart.

I use the rcbs impact puller, and the Lee shellholders (instead of collet) and just hammer away.

Lol at hammering your barrel against a wood. I guess that would work but geez, why risk damaging the crown? Just buy the $25 tool

I made a simple bullet pullet with a washer and scrap pvc 1/2. Cut the washer so the bullet could slide in then added a screw on cap on both ends. Dropped it on to the cement until I could hear it was separated.

I eventually purchase a bullet puller for my press.

Most ranges will take ammo you don't want to shoot. Just toss it it your range bag and ask the RSO for safe disposal after you finish your next range trip. The are it all the time with a jam or ftf.

^ Yep, most ranges have a bucket for bad ammo. Drop it off there.

Next time at the range - give it to range staff. They will add to reject barrel
