Does DOJ notify me of Firearms Ownership Record additions?

I filed the DOJ form BOF4542 a while back on some private-party purchases done in the late 80's. They already cashed the check and I was wondering if the DOJ will send a letter verifying the ownership changes. Aside from copies of the form and canceled check, is that it?

That form I don't know, but I've been about half and half on actually getting notified by mail that my C&R acquisitions went through, after doing the online portion and paying my $19.

You bought a few guns almost 40 years ago and felt compeled to tell the DOJ you have them?

CA DOJ BOF will mail an acknowledgement letter within 4-64 weeks after they cash in the payment that was included in the report that was sent to them.

Is 64 weeks the actual timeline or could it go to 84+ weeks?

I'm still waiting for all my 2018 AW reg's to go from "in progress" to "complete".

4-64 weeks was the pre-pandemic time frame, that CA DOJ is trying to get back to.

Not sure what the current time frame may be due to "pandemic induced delays".
