Hypothetical Mom/Son pistol question.

Say for example a Moms son moves back from out of state and wants to give his Mom three pistols.

Boy has now moved back to Ca. As of yet no Ca. ID.

Question:

Can son and Mom do the interfamily paperwork and be done?

Mom has her own gun buying card and a CCW so is it all legal?

Probably can 'get away with it', as the paperwork asks no detail about the giver. Likely son will have CA ID before anyone might investigate.

But, what's the rush? CA ID is not a long process.
