Bay Area BLM Sites

fairly new shooter here, and im located in the bay area, would any of u guys know of good BLM sites around the bay area or california that i can go to and let off rounds, try out my guns with no restrictions etc? i would really appreciate some good spots. thanks again

Cow Mountain is one of the closest to the bay area, and it's shut down for fire season.
If it rains in November, it might reopen by December.

Good shooting locations aren’t posted on the internet, because they always get ruined and shut down

Nothing within 3-4 hours of the Bay Area unless you know someone who owns land.

Tumey Hills is a nice place to shoot when it's open Close by is also Panoche Hills. Both BLM land but restrictions due to fire risks.

Panoche Hills in Firebaugh is a great spot but closed to target shooting for now due to fire restrictions. Usually opens about November 15-16 and closes again around mid April. Cool thing is they offer dispersed camping which is free. I go on rainy days and sunny days just to keep up with how my firearms perform in different climates.

This was a recent posting regarding Panoche Hills in the Bay Area chapter section. Might want to plan a visit once winter arrives and they open it again.

Downtown Oakland. There is gunfire there all day and night so no one will even care if cap off some rounds.
