      it's funny but i was looking at them as well. I saw this posted on Optics Planet stating that the optic was discontinued...so perhaps?

        Did you happen to notice that the rest of the pistol optics line are on sale as well, except for the 508T X2? Not sure if everything is getting upgraded or just trying to blow out old inventory....

              This is actually the older 509T. This and all V models are discontinued due to the lawsuit from Trijicon. All V models (larger buttons) are being replaced with X model (smaller buttons).

                The 509 didn't come out until after all of that though. Unless they also got sued by Aimpoint for knocking off the ACRO

                      Yea that's what I'm thinking. They might be doing a different version to cover their butts... or maybe just doing a different version because they can.

                      The 508T-V2 did came out, I think, less than a year after the V1, so I can see them just doing an update.

                      At $300, I'm tempted to get one lol.
