I’m a volunteer handgun instructor and we have seen a huge influx of people who realized that need to defend themselves and not rely on the police. We’ve had some comments on how bad the laws are and the head instructor’s standard answer is “You voted these guys in and voted for these laws.” Lots of shocked expressions when the realization hits them.

2 different acquaintances both said the same type of thing

Well ANTIFA taught the world that the 2nd amendment is not about hunting. That debate was settled.

Both are new Gun owners. One last year and one this year.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

In my experience, taking them shooting usually makes them fans. I have a few converts to the holy arms

I think it was my wife (dating at the time) who changed me.
I was never anti gun, but never had them in my house growing up, and never really thought about them.
My wife grew up in an LDS family and they are very pro firearms
In fact, when we were dating, she purchased me a 44 revolver (back when that was legal). I knew then she was a keeper
Now we have MANY firearms and she has never given me any grief for bringing home a new one.
Her only question is where’s that going to fit in the safe
I told her we need another safe

29 years ago my wife told me no guns in the house. I told her great sounds like the wedding is off. Guess what…my guns came in the house.
Fast forward…my wife is pissed cause she can’t just get a CCW. We moved so now it should be easier so we’re looking into it. She wants to carry
