How fast is that draw from a Service or utilitarian grade holster?

It is fun, it's live entertainment. Costumes and wax bullets. What is not to like.

World fast draw is where the shooters lean way back and the holsters are far more cut down and the gun is fired very near the holster. The guns can have aluminum barrels and hammers that point straight up.

Cowboy fastdraw the holsters are more normal looking and the guns are capable of firing real ammo. They don't stand in such a contorted start position.

In the days of Bob Munden the time started when the shooter started. There wasn't the reaction time to a light or beep.
