You realize 45 is super slow, and that will only make it super slower.

          Oh wait $4,500? A Wilson Combat I guess…

Are you talking free state prices or CA off roster prices?

I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

I'd rather have two Springfield Professionals.

                Just because.

Oh, under $4500... okay, then, one.

Nighthawk Custom, Lady Hawk 2.0, .45ACP, polished stainless finish.

Long before NHC produced any Lady Hawks in .45ACP that were in production, I had the opportunity to try one out that was a special presentation model made for an instructor I know. Have wanted to acquire one ever since, and now that they are a regular production item, some day I’ll get one.

I've shot a bunch of them, and I don't think 1911's are all that different. To me, it either has a beavertail or it doesnt. The GI models pinch my hand, so thats a big difference, but you get a beavertail around $700.

If I was spending more than about a grand for a 1911, it would have to be a double stack/2011.

Night hawk has a complete kit less frame on Brownells. I bet you could pick up an on roster frame or via a PPT at a decent price and have it built out at a reasonable price. It's a 1911 so it will require some fitting but should be minimal as it's just the frame to the nighthawk kit.
