Uzi gunsmith?

Well considering UZI's have been banned in CA for over 30 years, and there are VERY few of them in the wild out here and even fewer of those would ever get to a smith, I would posit that "local" in this case is NOT good since by definitiion, most smiths hereabouts have likely never seen an UZI much less fixed one. I'd definately send it out of state if possible.

I would make sure whoever it is sent to has no problem sending it BACK to CA.

It could be one of the UZI clones - that are OK in CA as the name is not on the 1989 Roberti list

No problems at all. Just received the tax stamp and bought a folder stock for it. When I looked at mine, the receiver has no holes to attach the stock to

Mine was bought in CA in 2008 and at the time, we were all scurrying around, afraid of making AW. So I bet either the holes in the receiver were never cut, or someone welded them shut. Been a while since I got the Uzi out of the safe, and I don't recall what the receiver looks on the inside.

Thankfully, no CA issues for me anymore.

Beans, you might check with some of the mg specialists. They might know enough about Uzis to fix yours, even though it's a semi.

It's an Action Arms, not IWI. I forgot what the model is. It's the mini Uzi. It is buried too deep in the safe after I did a safe reorganization. LOL

I'd rather use an Uzi shop though. Do you know of a good MG shop? I have an AK I would like to have them install a Boogie Hook binary. I know enough just to be dangerous LOL

No, not any more. I used to follow that stuff closely when I had money, but no longer.

FWIW the factory mini-Uzi stock is not very comfortable, but I don't think I ever shot one in semi. Maybe semi is not so bad. My friend's full auto fired at well over 1200 rpm.

Folder Stock? Mini-UZI original stock is side folding, so as micro-UZI. Full size UZI use under fold stock. There are no holes for mini-uzi to attached stock, it is two welded ring o-lets that the stock pinion goes through at the back of the receiver.

Very good point. I never paid attention to the difference. My receiver does not have the attachments point whatsoever.

More reason to have an Uzi specialist do the conversion as I obviously don't know what I am doing LOL
