I don't mind my afg's but I may buy 1 pistol grip fore grip to use where I want. IF IT EVER COMES TO FRUITION!I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...
Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

Just curious, what featureless components will you keep when when the AW ban strike-down in Miller v. Bonta's judgment finally takes effect? Will you keep the fixed stocks, oddly angled grips or fins, and the brakes or thread protectors, or will you switch things back to a more normal configuration?
It may be a leap, but I'm assuming everyone will dump their mag lock setups for a normal mag release.
For me, the pinned stocks along with the Hammerhead and Sparrow grips will go (sorry Sparrow). Not sure about the thread protectors and brakes, but am really thinking about keeping the Thordson gen 1 stock on the Grendel. The thing sort of grew on me. I like the feel and look plus it's a nice steady stock for that "long range" rifle.
Go to this thread if you want to keep up on Miller v Bonta. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1552764
Nothing will come out of it... its just a pause... we are beyond point of return!Comment

non-telescoping stock. got an a2 style butt stock and i like it. no need to fiddle with it.
maybe one day when i buy body armor would i see a need to have a telescoping stock.
and like others have said, the muzzle brake. i don't care either way if i got a flash hider or a brake. i would use whatever reduces recoil. until suppressors are legal in CA, i'll probably keep running a brake.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!Comment

I own a couple RAWs from the first registration.
A2 stock is the answer. I had it at a carbine class with Larry Vickers a few years ago, and every person in the class tried to trade my A2 for their latest/greatest slightly shortening stock. They look cool, but mine always fits.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. I prefer fixed stocks and don't really care about having a flash hider, so all I would change is the grip fin to a regulars pistol grip.
Agree, I've got an A2 on one AR and an ACE skeleton (same length) on another, and I wouldn't change them even if they changed the law. Every adjustable stock I've used, I end up setting to A2 length anyway. The actual value of above $.02 is less than $.01 after taxes.
