    Magazine rules/laws

As it stands right now, I cannot legally bring a 15 rd magazine with me into California correct? Flying into CA tomorrow, will be there a few days. I can't carry because my CCW is not longer valid there, but I'll be bringing my G19 because I'm good in every other state on the way back to TN.

Is it legal for me to have my standard cap magazine in pieces?

    No to both.

Disassembled large-capacity mag is likely a 'large-capacity magazine conversion kit', though I have yet to hear about prosecution on that charge such that we would have a clearer idea of what that really means.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Thank you, that's what I thought. I know the probability of getting caught is minute, but I've made a pretty clean break from that state and I don't need any headaches.

On the other hand, is there any difference between a 10 and 15 round Glock magazine shell other than the number of holes in it?

Thanks Bob, truly appreciated. I have a couple 10 rd G19 mags, I kept them for just such an emergency! I would normally just stop in Kingman or something on the way back and pick up a magazine, but I'll be flying a small plane and it's not worth all that headache. I'll just take my chances that this won't be the week my life depends on a larger magazine.
