Looks fairly normal to me. My WASR and most furniture that I've seen has about that much disparity .

Completely normal, especially for polish furniture. From 50 year old circle eleven furniture to the new stuff. The laminated palmswell lower commonly looks different then the upper handgaurd.

Es normal. It's not like they make the upper and lower hg from the exact same chunk of wood to be added to each rifle.

This looks normal coming from WBP Poland and FB Radom NOS. No where near as pretty as the Russian sets I've seen. One thing I noticed with Atlantic Firearms stuff always looks better in the picture vs what I received.

I’m thrilled with it otherwise. If that’s normal then I don’t really care...just wanted to make sure this wasn’t egregious.

I’ll probably swap out the top portion of the hand guard with polymer or a rail (if possible).

The upper and lower handguard are laminated differently . Thus the different appearance. Normal.

That is made from plywood. It is inexpensive and shaped to fit a gun. You can get a stock dyed in just about any color you want.

“wood color & grain pattern may vary from part to part”

We have the above statement in the item listing because wood or laminate is a natural product and each pieces will have a different wood grain . We have been looking at AK 47 rifles for 25 -30 years and the wood can vary from part to part. WBP Does a great job getting them all to be pretty close and their stock sets look great .Hope you are enjoying your Polish Fox rifle !

Below is the images posted on our site that show that the wood can vary
