Our landlord has informed us that he no longer wants a gun shop in the building and that he will not renew our lease when it expires this month.
It’s a sh1t way to go, to be taken out by an anti gun landlord.

Wishing the shop much success as they focus on smithing and other venture

Well, crap. They are a great shop.

I hope any gun owners in the area avoid or boycott any business in this building or any other owned by this landlord.

That certainly did nothing to help them stay in business!

It sucks that the landlord gave them such short notice. I wonder if the owners would consider reopening if the assault weapon ban is overturned permanently?

Just Guns here in Sacramento moved to a new location prior to the Covid-19 lockdown. They renamed to The Guns Store and they are next to Leatherby's. I suspect that the landlord for that building is conservative. It is kind of funny to see a gun store and ice cream parlor next to each other.

Can you imagine if they said I don’t want an abortion clinic or I don’t want a black barbershop or I don’t want a church in my building. This is such bull****.

It really won’t make a difference. You’re punishing a business that had nothing to do with the decision that was made. It won’t bring the gun store back. If I owned the building I wouldn’t care who rents it. If they pay rent on time and I don’t have other tenants complaining about the business doing bad stuff I don’t care if they sell guns.

So you're "ok" with punishing the other tenants for the decisions of the property owner/manager?

I'm at a loss to think how that's a good thing? The property owner is still going to collect rent until the business fails. When it fails, how many people are going to suddenly be out of a job?

I can't speak for Lee or Ryan but I'd have a hard time imagining that would be something they'd want to have happen.

The landlord is a private business, they can do whatever the left agrees with.

Yes indeed. We can choose not to frequent any of the stores on the property. If a location performs poorly, tenants leave or renegotiate better terms. Owner loses $.
