    The Orange Ammo Report

Through my many errands today, I have some news to share with all you Orange residents.

The Wally World on Tustin Ave doesn't have much in the way of rifles, but has 100 rd Winchester Value packs up the ***. Going for somewhere around $40, from all my errands I cant remember exactly. They have them in almost all shotgun calibers, 12, 20, 28, and 16. Also a few boxes of .357 sig.

The Army/Navy Surplus store in the Orange Circle has a little more to offer. They have some PMC .223 going for $13 a box. And assorted other rifle rounds included various brands of .308. They also have a new SA M1A SOCOM for $1739. There were a couple of other guys in there, saying how he should just get his FFL and get it for wholesale at $1500. He was rather annoying. The Surplus store also has a decent inventory of Surefire products and a very very large ammount of .50 cal ammo cans. At least 100 cans for $16 each.

I didn't go to Ade's today, but when I was last in there on Thursday; their supply of pistol ammo is still there somewhat. They have some .40 and a decent ammount of .45. All their 9mm sold out I believe. There is also a lot of Privi Partisan in .223. I believe they still have some Winchester WB .308 as well.

Well, that's my report. Hope this helps you fellow Calgunners!

You are correct, but there are times when need out weights reason. Like that time when i ran out of primers just before a match.

I will add this: If you need to touch , look or drool its a good place to go.

I shot last place in that match. Thank you fowlers

Yeah my point. They used to sell them for around $6/$7 just a couple months ago at the latest. I have also seen online vendors go WAY up. I guess it is true the military is destroying them for scrap?

Who went to the Costa Mesa gunshow? Anybody see a difference in price on ammo cans?

I too just found this sickening fact out this weekend. Went to a local surplus store where I have been buying .50 cal ammo cans for $6 for awhile now. Saturday they were $16. I wanted to puke. Called another store just to see if these guys were gouging, nope. Things are tough all over.

At least now I can't afford to store the ammo I can't find so it all works out.
