    Possible Scammers (How to report?)

Where do I go on this forum to report some possible scammers?

Got a text msg from an FFL out of state with a specific weapon (off-roster) that I was looking for and claimed to have a "law enforcement" friend that would have the weapon shipped to him in Cali and then delivered to me and my FFL.

Everything sounded iffy and suspicious, so I did not give my personal info whatsoever. I am concerned.

I have exact details (names, numbers) of the so called janky transactions.
This is for all you new people: I only have one rule. Everyone fights. No one quits. You don't do your job, I'll shoot you. You get me?

Could be a scammer, could be a trolling expedition, but either way - that's a no-go gage at any size. Your description of the offer is identical to hundreds of attempts and nearly as many that succeeded in that fashion, tried or won here on Calguns, especially to the WTB posts.

It's often a PM or post to get you referred to their friend "Mike" or "Alan" or "Flaming Asshat" in some other state - and - "he's got the items you're looking for". (Don't they all. )

Click on the red-triangle exclamation/caution icon if it's posted within a thread, forward any PMs to a mod, forward the text-message to a mod,
and post seller's info in one of the " Beware of buyer/seller" threads.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Glad you had the sense not to do something stupid OP. Seems a lot of scammers have been successful here lately.

Wire fraud (cell phone), Interstate commerce violation, gun crime. FCC for the first, local police or state DOJ for the last. Could also report to FBI, but I doubt they'll do anything (then again, with the current trend towards gun control...)
