Bought a new handgun from Sportsman's in Corona last week, about to do a PPT on a different handgun in LA tomorrow. I just found out that LA has their own city ordinance for 1 in 30 regardless if its a PPT or not.

My question is that am I allowed to start paperwork tomorrow for the PPT handgun in LA? Thanks

No, do it outside of LA City. LA County is fine, inside the city of LA is not.

Exactly what skyhawk said. If PPT is done in city of LA it will be denied due to 1 in 30 and you will be out your DROS fees. If you change it to an FFL outside city limits all will be fine.
