San Clemente Residents Check This Out

Mayor Pro Tem on the San Clemente city council, Gene James is trying to get San Clemente declared a 2nd Amendment sanctuary city. A recent article by the SC Times, basically a barely disguised hit piece while also pushing an anti-gun stance, has more details.

The article states that the City Clerks office has received approximately 35 comments from the public all of them against the measure and I imagine they were all orchestrated by the Moms Demand Actions for Gun Sense volunteer leader that is quoted extensively in the article.

Time for The San Clemente CalGunners to turn that around

Here's the contact emails for all of the current Council members

Try and be knowledgeable, factual and polite in your support for San Clemente as a sanctuary City. Sure its a feel good thing with no teeth but it's a step in the right direction.

it's a start, but like anything you can vote, it'll be banned or revoke

I don't think it passed as introduced. The paper today had an article on it and the measure was amended to express support for the Second Amendment but stopped well short of declaring SC as a "sanctuary city".
