    Out of state inheritance

Looking for advice. Father recently passed away in Nevada. Left me several bolt actions and shotguns all CA legal, and about 10 pistols ( need to see which are on roster or not), and lots of ammo. So anybody know what I need to do to bring back home to CA?

If he left these to you in a will, and he is your true father, you can go get them and bring them back. Roster status of pistols does not matter, the only thing that matters is no assault weapon configurations and no mags over 10 rounds.

File the intra family transfer form online at CFARS when you get back.

PS - sorry for your loss.

SkyHawk- Thanks for the info. He did not have a will, but with no spouse, or any another siblings, all property has been released to me. Any thoughts on the ammo?

Keep the ammo. It's valuable and would be expensive to replace.

Ammo is fine to bring back.
            Sorry about your Father.

              Sorry about your dad.

Yep, as Skyhawk says, go get the stuff, bring it back. File through CFARS. The only no-no's are AW pistols i.e. AR or AK pistols, NFA items or mags over 10 rounds.

              The ammo is fine too.
