What has the world come to? The Marketplace has a Glock 19 G3 for sale for only $1,000? Just saw a new one for sale last week at a local gs for $549.

I don't think people understand that people on CG are in the know. They are hoping for the impulse buyer who just found out about CG and need a glock, has to be a 19 and G3. I wouldn't pay 1k for a G5. If they want to rip people off they're better consigning it and paying the shop their fee. People impulse buy at the stores.

There's also a guy who bought a Sig P226 Extreme from Sortsman's. It's still in the waiting period and he hasn't even picked it up yet, but is trying to sell it for $1,600. He paid $1,099 for it. I mean, if he can sell it good on him, but don't see how peopel are getting these asking prices. Earlier this year I found an LGS that had Glock 17 an 19's in stick. Marked up $50 from what they should be selling them for, but these are brand new Glocks, not used like so many are selling here in the classifieds for.

I scan the CG handgun FS section maybe every 2 or 3 days or so and it looks to me like a lot of the common pistols for sale that are on roster seem to be lingering a while. Most of them not put up by scammers are $100-$200 over priced IMO. Maybe new retail supply has caught up with demand- IDK but I do know ammo is still crazy expensive and I don't see that changing much this year or in the near future.

I am more of its their property they can sell it for whatever they want but WTF.

I don’t know if people are doubling the price because of the post/rumor about the issue with Gen3 mold machine being damaged. So all Glock Gen3 compacts (19/23/32/38 ) won’t be in production anytime soon.

The world has come down to desparate uniformed buyers (still) and semi informed sellers that heard somewhere people will pay alot of money for a Glock 19.
