I enjoyed that movie ! As an aside Tom Cruise practiced for 3 days and got a shot off in under 1 second. I practiced for over a year and got 1.40 seconds as best .

Obviously both Tom Cruise and this officer are better athletes than I !

He popped up and was running towards the action before the cop noticed him approaching and set him in his place with the muzzle sweep.

            Fixt.

They drill in shoot/no-shoot scenarios on simulators.
The single perp with two hands up and no gun is a 100% no-shoot.

In Los Angeles County, more than one-quarter of the 375 people shot by law enforcement over a five-year period were unarmed. Police training tries to prepare officers to make split-second decisions.

But watch again, as second perp rises up, before he's fully upright he tosses something with his left hand that looks pistol-like ... was that ever identified? It could have been a wrench or something else, but he off-loads it as soon as he sees the cop putting eyes on him.

I didn't hear him call Lebron first. Officer should be suspended.

Well to be fair, he made that video long before it came out that the officer was having issues as a result of the incident. Different people handle these things differently, should we treat all these incidents with kid gloves until we know for sure?

Most normal people who kill have no problems when a bad guy leaves planet. Thinking this was done to pretend an element of remorse by a pathetic news media, that wants to promote that narrative that give's humanity to the bad guys.

Obviously a police over-reaction. That's why we need more social workers to deal with these situations.
