It’s a tiny medallion on nice grips. What’s the hang up?

OP is nervous about screaming grips.

No reasonable idea as to why.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like OP thinks his grips will make his gun look like a car???

            It won't scream Wilson Combat.

A TRP looks like a TRP no matter what grips you put on it.
Wilson makes nice grips and many people put their grips on other brand 1911s.

            You are worried for nothing.

No one is looking at your grips.

They are looking at the 15 inch scatter pattern target at 5 yards.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I don’t follow? Did op order some Pearl Grips?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Yes, I'd be worried more about that.

Nice tight group and your gun looks fantastic even if you hacked some grips out of drift wood.

WC is a company like any other, selling many parts for different guns. Don't worry about the grips - if they fit you and you like them, they aren't pretentious.

Pretentious is if you call your Hi-Point a Glock or if you call something a "Glock fohtay" moments before you shoot yourself in the leg...
