Where can I shoot milsurp 30-06??

I have a decent supply of FN and HXP 30-06, and they are magnetic. I understand that ranges generally don't allow their use due to danger of sparking.

Truthfully, I don't know whether these are steel core or bi-metal (steel jacket), and I'm not sure how much it matters, but in any event they are magnetic and a no-no at ranges. I suppose I could pull and cut open a sample, but it wouldn't make any difference to the range operators.

So is there ANYWHERE I can use them? I live in LA and will drive a reasonable distance. I imagine some may suggest sneaking them in, but I'm a rule-follower so that's not something I would be comfortable with and, with my luck I'd be the guy you read about who started a wildfire.

    Any advice welcomed.

The best place to shoot milsurp 30-06 is on private property or an outdoor range.

                THANK YOU ALL!!!

Great answers. I re-confirmed with Raahauges and they still do permit magnetic ammo on paper targets. That's close enough.

                Problem solved!!

Haha...I'll shoot it up while I still have the chance!!!!

I think Burro Canyon allows magnetic after a rain.
                  Best to check.

                    Burro Canyon

Thanks, I'll do that. Their website states no steel ammo due to fire restrictions but perhaps that varies based on weather and season.
