I remember when Nikita announced, many years ago: "We will bury you!" While the left is doing its best to make that happen, shooters have unwittingly aided that effort. As the new regime and its policies have caused us to increase demand for ammo, prices have gone astronomically up. This follows the old axiom of economics: as demand goes up, supply dwindles and prices rise. Manufacturers are raising prices to the point it is extremely costly to shoot. Our range (Sacramento Valley Shooting Center) has seen a decrease in shooting. As buyers, we have accepted higher prices as we attempt to stockpile ammo and components, fearing the next round of leftist legislation. Some speculate that manufacturers will not lower prices when panic buying ends. (It didn't happen when Obama left office.) So, as shooters and ammunition and component buyers, are we not bringing our own sport down? I think we may be unwittingly causing Nikita Khrushchev's prediction to come true. If prices stay this high, I know my willingness to shoot will drop. I hope economic principles will also result in prices falling when only the rich can afford to buy ammo and unsold ammunition and components become stocked up. It may be years from now. I hope my supply, and that I, last that long.
