Magazine Vest from Heat!!!!!

Hey Calgunners,

I am sure most of us have seen the movie Heat and thought their magazine vests in the bank heist were awesome. Well, Forgotten Weapons is taking orders for reproductions of the vest. I have always thought these were so cool and now I have the opportunity to get one. I wanted to share the info with anyone else who is a fan of the vest!

That's a lot less than I would have guessed it would be.

The only real world benefits I can immediately see from that design are that you could wear it hidden under a jacket or coat that was even mostly open and the vest still would not be seen.

The other benefit I see over more traditional vest would be that its open neck and chest area should allow for more cooling in hot weather/ strenuous activity.

Of course once you put on any type of armored plate vests both those plus factors go right out the window.

I would just use a chest rig. Don't need a plate carrier but you can easily throw it on over a plate carrier. I'm fine with this since around here wearing a suit into a bank probably signals you're going to rob it anyway.



This hold 6 rifle mags and 4 pistol mags iirc.
