Happened to me a couple of times this past year.

Both times it was at the FFL's end.

Call another FFL and ask if they're up & running.

    Good Luck.

Called 3 other shops, all 3 are processing fine, that’s what made me curious. Been buying, selling, and trading for 10 years and never ran into this before.

Everything (as far as I know) is done over the internet, so a loss of connectivity (infrastructure, ISP, account currency, etc.) will mean they can't get to DOJ to do their processing.

Past threads usually show shops didnt pay their fees in time. Other times waited too long and it doesnt get processed fast by the govt

It's the shop trying to blame someone else.

It’s possible their coe renewal talking longer than anticipated, or perhaps they are truly having Internet issues

It is the FFL's problem. Probably did not renew COE soon enough. I would call them out - tell them to cut the Sh and act like adults and tell you what is really going on.

Happenedto my brother 3 or 4 months ago. It turned out to be FFL's issue, but they blamed it on DOJ.

Maybe they sold your gun to someone else?

I think it was 18 months ago, Bass Pro in San Jose had the FFL selling wheels fly off and couldn't sell or deliver anything "gun" for 3-4 weeks. They blamed everything else in sight, but other FFL's said their stuff worked fine. I wasn't one of the many waiting, had passing interest, someone else may have better details.

Sometimes the DOJ will lock up an account while licensing is pending renewal. Sometimes that's the FFLs fault for doing it late, more than likely its a lag on the DOJ. Usually fixed within a few days to a week max.

Called again, still down no ETA or information. This is going to be fun if it goes over the 30 days, especially since the seller lives 5 hours away.

Happened one time at Sportmen's Warehouse. Someone had damaged the fiber optic cable. After a repair crew worked on it that night they were up and running the next day.
