I wear the Wiley X Judge (that come with removable side shields) with prescription progressive lenses for shooting and for work.

I have a pair of Rudy Project Rydons with my Rx in it. Them or Oakleys would be my first choice.

Wiley Sabre x with inserts. My handgun insert is the middle prescription of my tri focal, plus 2 clicks of power. Necessary for front sight focus. Rifle and shotgun i wear my standard prescription in a separate insert. Work good for me.

I have some Wiley X Airrage safety glasses with an Rx lens. Not a fan. The curve of the lens creates a distortion on the periphery. Even looking dead center through them gives a bit of a fish eye like effect.

Do you have a model #?

Or can any Oakley be made into RX

I have Wiley Airrage with rx lenses (bifocal)
I also have Revision Sawfly and Stingerhawk with rx inserts.

Wiley has great customer service. The Airrage have the face seal/gasket thing which is maybe worth it if you are in a dust storm, but they will fog up if your are really exerting yourself, no matter how much antifog used.

With the inserts I use in the Revision glasses, the inserts are closer to eyebrows and eyelashes and they get smudged up fast. Plus it is a pain if you need to clean between the two lenses. Also the more lenses the light passes through I suppose the more chance for distortion and decreased clarity. Nice thing about the revision frames are the super thin temples close to your head dont interfere so much with the seal with over the ear hearing protection.

The Wiley judge looks like a nice option. Good air circulation, optional side protection, flat lenses that you could put strong rx in.

Progressive lenses can cause problems with positional shooting if you have to look through the bottom of your lenses and then you reticle is out of focus.

Glasses are a pain in the azz.

Not Wiley X. But I wore Bolles with an Rx insert for years, and they worked well. I now have Rudy Project glasses with an insert and am happy with those.

I love Wiley X as I need safety-rated sunglasses for the job site. I do progressive lenses. Makes such a difference for everything from softball to cycling, too.

P-17 and Gravity work quite well.

among gray, amber and blue/green lenses, what will work best for shooting?

I have Wiley X non prescription and really need a pair of RX but from google searching looks like they don't offer the inserts anymore in RX.

Which is a shame but if you buy a new pair of Wiley glasses that are custom made with the RX lenses looks to be good to go.
That is probably what I'm going to do for distance shooting.

I came across a company called Gator Magnum and for a additional 140 on top of the cost of the non RX I can add my presciption to the lenses. Anyone heard of them or use them?
