Disarmed by Police on own Property

I've looked over the internet but can't find a good answer to my question. Short and sweet the question is:

Can the police disarm you on your own property?

I know there are probably a lot of variables to the answer but let's say I'm open carrying on my property and an officer drives by and spots the firearm. He stops and approaches to talk to me. Says he wants to disarm me while we talk "for his and my protection".
I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

I seen to recall reading that if your in your open front yard, no fences, and your neighbor sees you carrying, that could to be a problem. Of course we're talking California

Why would you open carry on your property when you can CC instead?

As long as you’re fenced and not considered “open to the public”, no reason to have the police involved while on your property.

          More than kind of...

          ...an idiotic thread.

Though it may make some sense as you're living in the ghetto.

No, not at all. The title didn't say "I was disarmed by police". It was a hypothetical. There is only so much room to write a title so I condensed the question.

Why idiotic? The question came into my mind and after searching on the interwebz I didn't find a decent answer. I thought someone here might know (obviously not you).

And for the record I don't live in the ghetto. I haven't changed my location yet but I recently bought a house on an acre of property in San Bernardino. We have a lot of wildlife around here, including mountain lions. Which is why I carry around my property. If you've got nothing constructive to add maybe just move on. Seems simple enough.

I open carry on my property all the time. I have over 4 acres of mesquite trees, brush, cactus, and horse paddocks. I walk it all the time to see what's going on, mend some barbwire fencing, or gather some mesquite for the smoker.

There are a lot of critters, but I'm only concerned with snakes, bobcats.

Then again, the cops I have met here are of a different breed than when I was in California.

In California, especially urban and even suburban areas,
If you are open carrying in your yard,
and your gun can be seen from the street or walkway open to public,
and a police car drives by seeing such open carry!!,
The cop(s) will come talk to you and most certainly will disarm you.
This will happen even if you open carry in the house with large glass windows easily seen/visible from the street.

Even if the cop does not see you a passerby will and call it in. Then they come and no way in hell would they let you stand there chatting while armed.

Not so if you live in the very sparsely populaed country side.

It's safe to assume that since you're on Calguns, the OP was probably talking about OC'ing in California.

Is there a law being broken in this scenario?
