New process for middleman shipments from Atlantic Firearms

A few customers have noted that Atlantic Firearms has a new policy and they will not ship to a middleman FFL if the purchaser has a CA billing address.

I had this email exchange with them today:

EBR: Just wanted to speak to Blaine in regard to your apparently new policy of not shipping to middleman FFLs for California purchasers and as to specifically why.

AF: We can ship to a middleman FFL if they are willing to accept and make compliant. If the customer has a billing address in CA the customer would have to ask us to make them exempt for a 24hr period so they can order. If not our system will not let them place an order.

EBR: Ok, understood. We have received compliance shipments from you in the past, so wanted to clarify. Should the customer use sales@atlanticfirearms.com for that request?

AF: Yes please, we will make them exempt as soon as they make the request.

Thanks for the info. Too bad they chose to do that especially in this uncertain climate of out if stock and hard to get firearms. The delay in asking for a waiver through an email might make the difference in obtaining what you have been waiting for to come back in to stock only to sell out 10 minutes later.
