    Next Purchase Suggestions

    Hello!
I currently have a Daniel Defense DDM4V7 as my main Ar-15 and a Staccato P (not the DPO model) as my main handgun, and I was thinking of either purchasing KAC SR-15 (with some optic or red dot) or an Atlas Athena, I know they are not in the same category and everything but since I can only afford to get one of them, I want to hear everyone's suggestion.
    Thanks

I thought the correct 3rd gun in this puzzle would be a shotgun. For 3 gun, or home defense or ammo diversification...

Harris/Biden are trying to ban AR's. Get them while you can before the ban. Shotguns and handguns aren't in danger of being banned.......yet.

I was initially thinking of a shotgun like benelli m4 too, but after all these news about democrats trying to ban AR's, I taught maybe I should get a shotgun some other time and now focus on getting another AR!. and Atlas Athena has been on my mind for quite some time, so it is always on my wishlist.

If it's for home defense, I would recommend getting another DDM4V7 or another Staccato P.
It'll serve as a true back-up gun: same controls, ergonomics, parts compatibility, etc...

But if you're just wanting to try a different gun, then the SR-15 is awesome. But you'll need to find an SR-30 lower for California. That's what I did. I bought a SR-30 lower and a SR-15 E3 MOD 2 upper.

It's not necessarily for home defense. Although I really love the guns that I have, I prefer to try something new...

I’m with most here. I’d look for a gently used 870 and look for the barrel it doesn’t have ( you would want a long & short) Then I would add a quality 22 auto pistol ( Ruger mk xx or a Hamerlii or model 14) and lastly a 308 long gun. ( M1a, Fal or At 10)

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Get the AR10 and then the semi-auto shotgun, there is going to be a serious attack on anything semi-auto in Congress soon.

This is smart ^ and its basically what I would suggest. I don't know anything about the Staccato, and don't care. But I know a little about the KAC.

The advantage of getting another DDM4V7 is that you have a backup for parts.

This doesn't work with the KAC as it uses some proprietary parts.

Forget about an expensive shotgun, unless you have a bunch of 00 12 gauge Buck. Then I would suggest a cheap Mossburg pump.

Another standard AR like the DDM4V7, or a BCM, etc. will work for parts interchangeability, but a KAC...not so much.

That's what I did for rifles that I couldn't get spare parts for. I bought two SCAR 16s and two SCAR 17s so at least I would have one operating rifle.

For my ARs, I started buying quantities of back-up parts about a year and a half ago in anticipation of what is happening now. I now have multiples every single part of an AR. including barrels. The only thing I don't have as a spare are finished lowers.
