    Empty shelves at Turner's

My wife wanted a new gun for her birthday next week, so we went to Valencia Turner's outdoor. They were busy as usual..... What? Their selves were empty. I saw less than 10 guns on entire shelves.

How's your local gun stores are like?

If their shelves are empty, what are they "busy" doing?

I have been wondering that for 9 months now. Empty shelves at one LGS but they stay pretty busy, doing transfers I guess

They sell a lot from their warehouse stock. I've bought one or two like that. You can start dros and they ship the gun to the store for pickup. With low inventory selling directly from stock is probably the best bet for the store and customer. I doubt they have multiples to keep on the shelf for every store. This probably the case for a lot of fun stores. The guns are sold before they get to the store.

The employees walk around making sure everybody is social distanced, and pass paperwork around to each other.

I got a fishing license there a couple months ago. One guy types all my info in, the next guy takes my credit card and runs it. Then back to the first guy to hand it over to me.

Nobody manning the fishing counter, too busy pushing paperwork I guess?

mmmmmmmm similar experience. Couple of weeks ago I went into BassPro in Rocklin. Gun cases were totally empty (well they did have 4 1911's) and only a few rifles on the back wall. Two days later I am at Cabelas in Boomtown (Reno, NV) and Sheels in Sparks, NV. They both had cases full of hand guns and large assortment of rifles and shot guns.
A worker in Bpro said he had the same experience in Montana when visiting Cabelas: full cases.

                          What gives???

Chino hills have limited selection. Not 9mm pistols

I don’t think that’s a good price, I can buy a used one on our marketplace for $1,200.
