    Recommend me a torque wrench

Not trying to break the bank. I am looking for a inch pound wrench for scopes and such. I saw the Wheeler FAT wrench and it just seemed like crap.

    Whatcha got?

Same thing probably a million gun owners have, Wheeler Fat Wrench. Dont be so quick to discount a tried and true tool that pretty much everyone owns.

Why did The Wheeler seem like crap? Were you looking online or one in the hand?

And I will trust my hand and brain to tighten screws over a cheap torque wrench.

Have you browsed Sinclair or Brownells?

Some buy the preset limiters and use them with any same size tool.

I have a wheeler, and a while back I bought a more expensive torque wrench that was certified to be calibrated. The Wheeler was very, very close for all the settings that I checked.

I can tell you old snap-on torque wrenches are the best. Anything new from them that's a click style is garbage.
I did a lot of research a couple of years ago when I thought I was going to have to replace my 15-100ft lb wrench.
Precision Instruments used to make wrenches for snap-on. That's what I'd be buying if you need it to be precise.

Wheeler FAT in-lb torque wrench works fine and is a great value. I have no complaint about an analog model that cost me $35 on sale.
SOTAR also uses one in his videos.

Some people have replied with pics for FT-lb automotive torque wrench... Great way to destroy scope rings.

Who said to use a Ft. Lb. torque wrench on scope rings?

Looks like the small one in the only picture so far is probably an inch pound wrench.

Look more closely at the photo...it should be obvious...

There is both displayed...inch and foot...and yes I use it for just such purposes.

                            Right?

And who says I can't use my automotive inch lb. TW on scope rings?

I use the “crap” wheeler fat wrench. It’s so crappy it’s put on about 30 optics without an issue.
