    Need hidden display case

Hey all. My collection has grown to five long guns. I like looking at them mounted on a wall in a back room of the house, but lately I'm thinking they ought to be hidden. I don't have any children, but I do have guests occasionally, workers occasionally. They are nice guns and replacing them would be expensive. I'm looking for a way to keep them locked and concealed, but also ready to display, because like I said I like looking at them. I don't want to take them in and out of a safe.

I have seen hidden gun cabinets that look like flags mounted on a wall, but I'd need more than one of those, I think, and to me they look kind of obvious because they are pretty thick. Do y'all have any suggestions for keeping my guns on display but also easy to lock up and hide? Thanks for any advice!

    2 different things

1- display for any thief to hear about

2- a solid and secure safe bolted down out of sight.

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Only option is if you go full custom and have one designed-into a major piece of furniture like a heavy table with a swivel top.

IMO, 5 guns are not much trouble to take out of the safe whenever you want to show them off. The hidden gun devices you describe are meant to hide a single for easy access for emergencies. The two don't really mix.

Search for "gun cabinets" There are some nice pieces of furniture that do not scream gun cabinet.

I hear ya OP. I like looking at them too. But I gave up that privilege for piece of mind. Mine are all stored in bolted down safes. If you’ve got 5 long guns, you can easily display those in a nice safe with ambient lighting. Mine looked great, until the safe became stuffed completely full. But I’d rather that than ever risk having them stolen. My safes are expensive, the room has cameras, motion sensors, glass break sensors, etc. And I’m in a gated community. Can’t be too careful with irreplaceable stuff.

If you don't mind cutting into your wall, get a gun mirror.

To be fair, I did mention custom!

I have seen a coffee table with swivel top as well as a kitchen island with a slide-out rifle rack. Both beautiful custom works costing $$$.

Hidden display case. Think about that for a second. Hidden and Display. "I see" said the blind man after which the deaf man said "I hear you" not quite knowing why.

Why not just create a secure room and put a camera in it and stream the video to a wall sized screen? Or since it's for show, just buy a bunch or airsoft models and put them out to be seen? That way someone can destroy uncountable thousands of dollars of your home getting to rather cheap non-guns? The thieves will just load them up, bug out and not check until they are long gone.

Wall of bookcases and a couple of hinges and wheels to carry the weight.

Just coincidentally I have a friend whose family owns a very nice furniture store in Woodland California. The name is Wirth Furniture. Zach Wirth is the manager/owner along with his family.

He has a person that is making very nice hideaway pieces that will even do so to a custom size as needed. The prices are really reasonable as well. If you're interested give Zach a call at 530-662-0291.

Their address is 515 Main Street Woodland, Ca. 95695

You can mention that you saw this on CalGuns and DaveinWoodland was the posting person.

Isn't "HIDDEN DISPLAY" case an oxymoron?

Wish they would show or discuss the hide away furniture on their website. Can't really see an 8 hour drive in hopes their stuff is nice.

                            Thanks for the info Dave.

They will ship it too, I should have mentioned they just started selling them recently so the website isn't up to speed on them yet. My bad. I think he will send pictures too if you ask.
