Ammo Price Seem Come Down a Bit?

Looking at my receipts, I was paying about 87 cents a round for case of 9mm back in mid-Jan this year 2021, the same case going for 69 cents this week.

Your store went straight to the Cheaper than Dirt pricing, so them charging $700 per 1k seems normal to you now

      Marketing trick at its finest.

It's cool you got your secret watering hole. For myself every single place I shop online did the same marketing trick. I'm looking at you targetsportsusa and trueshotgunclub so disappointed.

It depends on what you're looking for. I've seen decent deals on steel, off brand brass, or odd weight ammo for target shooting. The price can be a little higher for name brand brass cased ammunition in standard weights. Even then, I still see it going for 60 to 70 cents per round, nothing outrageous like $1.

Right now, they have brass cased Norma 115 grain at 59 cents per round. That's even cheaper than Tula or Wolf.

Last week, I paid 37.00 for a 100 round value pack of 9mm.
              40.00 for 100 pk of 40 s&w.

I consistently see two times + the price of a year ago.

No, prices have not come down at all at my lgs. Still in the absurdly high side.

And, they will probably be up even more with the latest firearms restriction talk out of Washington DC

Yep. More talk of Biden using executive action to restrict gun sales/rights, the blowback will keep ammunition prices up.

                              Depends on where you live.

556 ammo here is $13-$15 for a box of 20 rounds. That’s for 62 grain green LAP tips. It’s been like that for 9 months.
